Noel and Jhemika are the proud parents of a 3rd grader and a Kindergartener. A Frederick County resident since 2003, Noel is entering his third year with the PTA.

Noel works as an airline pilot and also serves as a pro bono attorney. When he’s not busy with kid activities, he enjoys sports cars, going to the gym, and playing piano.

Jhemika is honored to serve as Oakdale PTA’s Secretary. As both a parent and a healthcare professional, Jhemika values strong communication, teamwork, and supportive school communities. She is excited to help keep families informed and support the work of Oakdale’s volunteers and staff.

Jhemika enjoys sewing, reading with her children, and supporting their interests in music, martial arts and learning new things.

VP Communications: Danielle Benjamin

Danielle is the parent of Bryce, a 3rd grader, and twins Harper and Riley, who are in 1st grade. She has lived in Frederick County since 2020 and has a background in digital marketing, including website strategy, email marketing, digital advertising, analytics, user experience, and A/B testing.

Danielle has a website design and strategy company and enjoys national parks, creative projects, audiobooks, home DIY projects and Cricut crafts.

Jeni Lee is the parent of 4th grader, Greyson, and a 3-year-old, Emmy. She has lived in Frederick County since 2021 and is a stay-at-home mom and part-time content creator.

Jeni enjoys espresso art, photography, videography, cozy gaming, and traveling. She is excited to help families feel welcomed, connected, and involved in the Oakdale PTA community.

VP Fundraising: Sarah Manzano

Sarah is the parent of a 4th grader, a kindergartener, and a 1-year-old. She is excited to support fundraising efforts that help create meaningful experiences for Oakdale students, teachers, and families.

She works as a labor and delivery nurse and enjoys baking, reading, and traveling. Originally from Morocco, Sarah also speaks three languages.

Anjali and her family have lived in the Frederick area for several years. She is the owner and director of the Kumon Math & Reading Center near Worman’s Mill, where she loves helping students build confidence, strengthen their academic foundations, and discover that learning can be enjoyable.

Anjali is excited to become more involved in the Oakdale community and looks forward to supporting students, teachers, and families through the PTA.

Monica and Alex are the parents of 4th grader, Rodrigo and 2nd grader, Mauricio. She is a community manager with an MBA in Marketing.

Monica and her family enjoy crafting, sports, movies, music, theater, puzzles, cooking, and traveling. Monica has loved volunteering in classrooms and for PTA activities and is excited to help bring fun, meaningful activities to the Oakdale community with the PTA.

Hospitality: Lauren Bauer

Lauren Bauer is the mom of two Oakdale Owls and a registered dietitian.

She can often be found crafting, cooking, hiking, fishing, or planning the next adventure with her kids. Lauren looks forward to helping Oakdale’s amazing teachers and staff feel appreciated throughout the year.
